P Guest - Pictured above skiing while wearing his ski~mojo

I am 43 years old and I have been skiing since I was 9, due to skiing and other sports I have been involved in, my knees have taken a fair pounding over the years to such an extent that for the past 6 years I have been wearing a knee brace on my right leg to support a PCL injury. However, the brace never fully gave me relief from pain while skiing.

I realise that you do not make any claims in relation to orthopaedic support, but I can tell you that having just returned from a two week trip to Steamboat, Colorado and used the ski~mojo every day, and not used a ski brace at all, they are absolutely brilliant. Not only do exactly what you claim, more importantly for me, I had my first ski trip for 6 years without any knee pain at all.

Now I must point out that I am not a blue run cruiser and I usually ski black and double black runs in the resort and I even started skiing bumps again this year. However, my main passion is skiing backcountry powder and having spent 3 days this trip skiing with Steamboat Powdercats and using the mojo every day with them, I can say that I was speechless at how well they worked in all the terrain I had to deal with from tight Aspen trees with waist deep powder to bashing through wind-rift.

I don't know if you want any more recommendations from customers but if you do please add me to the list. I have now become a self appointed ambassador for ski~mojo and cant help telling people what my secret is at any opportunity I get. I do hope some of the people I spoke with in Steamboat get in touch as not many had heard of you.

I really do believe a picture paints a thousand words so please find attached a picture of me putting the mojo to full effect with Steamboat Powdercats. (MR GUEST'S PICTURE IS FEATURED AT THE TOP OF THIS PAGE)

A heat felt thank you for sending me my own ski~mojo, I am extremely grateful. I live to ski, it is what keeps me going. Unfortunately, my aching joints have forced me to spend more time in the warming hut. Only a few years ago, I would be on the first chair and wouldn't quit until the chair lift stopped! Last year I spent more time in the warming hut than on the hill... it was killing me.

The ski~mojo has given me a new lease of life - Thank you!!! I'm sure other members of our ski club will be interested in ski~mojo. I will be sure to direct them to your website as I am  now an ambassador for your product.

I am totally excited about the upcoming ski season. I feel I will be able to ski again without having my painful knees slowing me down.

Thanks for making an old Russian competitor very happy.

S Small - Purepowder Heli-Ski

I got back from Chamonix on Sunday after a very successful few days with our Guide - the snowfall was heavier than they had had all winter so it was hugely beneficial to be able to get the best advice and ski in La thuile in Italy and then come back to ski the Argentiere Glacier on a surprisingly glorious day on Saturday!

The ski~mojo was fantastic. It took me a few turns to get used to it but I really felt it moved you to the right position and I certainly skied better than I ever have.

It raised a lot of questions from other skiers and my ski guide thought it was fantastic. Having skied extremely heavy off-piste for 2 days, the group were complaining but I really didn't feel tired until the last run of the day. Considering I have been out of the gym due to my back problems for 2 month, I should not have been the fittest one of the group!

It is a really great piece of equipment and I feel very safe and secure knowing my back is being cushioned against the strain of skiing.

Dr McManners

I have been a keen skier since 1981 and I am now 54 years old working as a full time GP. Until 2002 I had no problems of any sort with my knees and was able to ski all day. From 2002 gradually skiing became more and more painful and investigations revealed I have extensive osteoarthritis in both knees of such severity as to warrant knee replacements should I wish.

By 2008 a skiing holiday consisted of one or two very painful slow runs in the morning, reading a book at a restaurant until my friends returned for lunch and then one or two painful slow runs in the afternoon before slowly returning to the resort.

In 2008 I heard about the ski~mojo and used it in Zermatt for the first time in March 2009. To say it was an improvement is a gross understatement, it was an absolute revelation.

I weighed 14 stones 7 pounds on that holiday and I found that with the ski~mojo set to its maximum support I was able to ski with virtually no pain of any sort, as fast as I wished, and despite having weak thigh muscles as a result of the osteoarthritis I found little fatigue after an entire days skiing.

I was able to ski the entire week without difficulties or cumulative fatigue. It took only a single run to adapt to the wonderful support provided by the ski~mojo, the sensation when skiing with a ski~mojo is quite excellent, best described as weighing one third of your normal weight with skis that seem glued to the snow. There is no loss of control, indeed if anything control is enhanced particularly on ice as the springs adapt to chattering across ridges much faster than your muscles can.

Also it is easy wearing a ski~mojo to adopt and return from a full schuss position without any strain at all.

I have the ski~mojo to thank for allowing me to return to the pleasures of near painless fatigue free skiing.

I have just returned from a ski holiday in Breckenridge USA where I tried the ski~mojo for the first time since purchasing it last year.

On the first run the device felt a bit strange but by the second run it became less obvious that I was wearing the equipment at all. I then skied for four hours and realised that I had skied every run from top to bottom none stop with out any adverse effect on my thighs what so ever.

In the following 8 days I went from strength to strength skiing faster, stronger and with more style than I had ever skied in my life. I have been skiing for over 30 years and now approaching 60 years of age.

The ski~mojo now enables me to ski better than I have ever skied with little or no strain on my legs and I feel I can go on all day until the lifts close. Without a doubt this is the best spent money I have ever laid out on a piece os ski kit, Well done to you all.

First off, Thank you so much!

I was hooked on skiing from the first day I slid down the bunny slope 6 short years ago. Unfortunately my body didn't share my enthusiasm, and on my first big trip to Vail, Colorado, half way through the first day, I learned that my knees weren't particularly suited to handle the stress of skiing nearly as well as the rest of my body. The way it feels is like my knees are just water and there is no support to give. Throughout the years I tried all manner of braces and supports, creams and pain relievers. I tried physical training doing lunges and wall sits and working on the stationary bike. When ever I read a claim that something could allegedly ease the stress on the knees I tried it, custom orthotics, a stance alignment, etc.

None of that came any where close to what the ski~mojo was able to do for me. Finally I was able to ski the way I wanted to ski, without worrying about whether my knee would give out on me at the most inopportune time. My first trip with it on was a revelation. I skied like I was possessed! I no longer needed to stop every handful of minutes into a run to give my knees some time to recover . I no longer had to sit out after a couple of runs for a break while everyone else kept on without me. I was now the person ready to go in the morning, suggest the quick snack instead of the long lunch and itching for the last run before the ski patrol escorted us off the mountain. For that I have to thank you. I can now ski as much as I want, when ever I want, on my terms and that is a beautiful thing.

I bought a ski~mojo a couple of weeks before skiing in Val (Jan 3rd 2010) with 3 x 19/20yr olds who have been skiing every year since they were 7yrs. They go fast on piste and steep off piste. I am now a fit 61 yrs and last year found I was exhausted at the end of many sessions.

This year I did not once suffer thigh burn and was able to keep up my optimum skiing both on and off piste right to the end of the week without flagging, when my legs were as fresh on the Saturday pm when I skied without the mojo, as when I started Monday am. I impressed my sons and I am impressed with the mojo. I hope you company thrives and you all live long and happy lives.

Your machine exceeded my wildest dreams. Frankly, it is a miracle. I found it absolutely sensational and without any doubt it rejuvenated my legs by 25 years! I found it unnoticeable in use - I just no longer got tired legs. I could repeatedly ski from top to bottom of the mountain without a rest - something I have not been able to do for at least twenty years. Anyone who is elderly, unfit, or overweight (or all three) should have one. I guarantee it will extend people's skiing lives by a decade or more. Indeed, it has so rekindled my skiing that I am in the throes of buying an apartment in Switzerland to get more of it. I have bored everyone in Wengen with my enthusiasm (I wore it outside my trousers, incidentally), and now intend to convert the world!

I have just returned from 2 weeks skiing, during which I wore my Ski Mojos every day and thought you might like some feedback.

I had no aches/pains. My right knee normally swells up to a point where it is quite painful to walk on. Although it did swell up, it didn't swell up nearly as much as it used to ( this was my prime motivation for buying one). My son, who is a twice Olympic skier (moguls) said he had never seen me ski so well... in fact it wouldn't surprise me if he were to buy one. All in all I was dead chuffed with them.

I would think that in three years time ski shops will be hiring them out to people.

“I’ve just returned from a trip to Colorado where I skied the best I ever have and with the least effort, thanks to the Ski Mojo. What a find! I’ve never been a strong skier – I’ve got one dodgy hip which plays havoc with alignment – and was at my lowest fitness level for years, but I skied all day without achy knees, burning thighs or the need to stop every five minutes for a break. A friend skiing with me commented that my skiing position was much better – which I guess is why I wasn’t so tired. I certainly felt more powerful – not only did I look like the bionic woman (I hadn’t realised you could wear the support under your pants) but I felt like her too!"

Genius!
I think you have a product that meets a need and an audience and given the tweaks here and there to its aesthetics I am sure will be very successful. I found that the product does exactly what you say it can do; support tired legs and allow the skier that extra time he wants on the piste.
I give the ski~mojo a Solid A+

Dr Tim Moss

During what I had imagined might be my last of many wonderful skiing holidays in the Colorado Rockies, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to try the Ski Mojo.

I was encouraged to find that such a powerful and highly effective adjunct to skiing, was available with no external, visible evidence what so ever.

The ability to ski literally from first to last ski-lift without any tiredness and muscle fatigue was astonishing.

Not only was it possible to ski with the confidence and ability of those days before repeated knee surgery, but full participation with friends in "apres ski" was regained.

I am entirely confident that this discrete device will provide the option to continue this much loved sport for some considerable time to come. In addition, after the briefest familiarization, wearing the ski mojo added no more than a few seconds to getting into ski gear each morning.

Remarkably effective.

Bill (Nearly 60)

I just got back from a two week ski holiday in Jasper Canada and wanted to let you know that the ski~mojo does everything claimed of it and more. I think the gain is more than 25% and I also found it acted as a reminder if you deviated and put your weight back a little. The increased spring tension acts as good feedback to readjust posture. So I think it is an aid to technique as well as an aid to reduce tiredness. I am a good skier and exercise every day but am getting on towards 60 and found the device excellent.

I found I did not ski with it day one to get a fair comparison and day 2 proved how valuable it was. I also did not use it day 6 and the final day. Wish I had tough :-)

Day 1 of use it took 20 minutes to get on, 15 minutes day 2 and 5 minutes a day from there on. There was also a 35 minute bus trip at the start and end of day so the device stood up well to this.

I hope this is of help. There was a little effort at the beginning but It is soon mastered and I love my Mojo.

It’s fantastic!
I used to ski Giant Slalom for the Army Ski Team, but that was twenty plus years ago.

Using the ski~mojo enabled me to ski so much more confidently, especially at speed on hard piste.

I got the thrill of speed on skis back again, without feeling at all out of control, or even on the edge (no pun intended).

At the end of the day I felt disappointed that the lifts would close, as I knew that I could easily ski for another hour or two with my mojo.

I have just returned from a 3 ½ day ski holiday, using the ski mojo for the first time. I ruptured my Anterior Cruciate ligament in 1994 and have had it rebuilt and had other operations on it since then. I am an experienced skier but have had to deal with a lot of pain and swelling of that knee after even a day of skiing.

The Ski Mojo completely changed my Skiing experience. As mentioned by other articles, it took a little bit of time to adjust to how Ski Mojo feels when you ski, but once you get used to it, you could not ski without it. In 3 ½ days of skiing, I skied harder and longer than I ever have and only had very slight swelling at the end of the last day, having had none at all for the first three days, which for me was beyond any expectations I had. I seriously recommend you investigate the benefits for Skiers with knee injuries (which is not uncommon for skiers!), as no other products – such as knee braces (which I have tried) really make any difference, yet the Ski Mojo completely changed my Skiing experience.

Barry

Just to let you know I returned from the three valleys on Sunday, having tried out the mojo for a week. The conditions were just about perfect with snow almost every evening / night, 10cm to 20cm. Nothing in life is perfect but the mojo came close. I am fast approaching 60 and the old knees meant I would usually give up at best, mid afternoon. It took all of 10 mins to get used to the mojo, and providing you remember to switch off at the chair lifts, I couldn't see a problem.

It may take some thinking about if sitting down for the loo, but walking and sitting down at a table, bending down to retrieve a dropped glove or pole are no problem at all. Needless to say I found getting an edge on a fairly steep slope was no problem at all, it really did not affect my skiing at all except I was able to ski from 9-30 am till 4-45 pm with 45 mins for lunch. EVERY DAY and I did not have to take my usual anti - inflammatory tablet every evening. At the end of the week my knees were still tired, but then again so were my two sons. I have never endorsed any product before which should give some idea as to how much I thought about the mojo!

So many thanks for a great idea, I'm sure you have extended my skiing career significantly.

Connor

At first the Ski-Mojo felt strange and almost as if I was fighting against the support and confidence it was giving me, but after several runs I became used to that support. Having tested out the Ski-Mojo on several easy blues I decided to tests its ability to perform on harder runs with more moguls. The strap behind gave me a sitting position to tuck and carve with ease and this helped me to ski more aggressively throughout each turn whether it be carving or bumps. I also felt that the rigidity of the Ski-Mojo when engaged, gave an extra feeling of strength and stability on bumps and off-piste.

I have been suffering from Osgood-Schlatters disease affecting my right knee (Osgood-Schlatters is a fairly common problem affecting adolescents where the thigh muscle pulls the growth plate from the top of the tibia). I found the Ski-Mojo gave excellent support and stopped my knee from becoming inflamed or hurting. My mum also has a knee injury and she reported that although her knee hurt post skiing, she felt no pain what so ever when actually skiing, which is really unusual. This allowed her to ski for longer than she usually does which was great for me, as she is normally moaning after lunch that she has had enough!

My mum and I both reported that the Ski-Mojo felt great when skiing but were unaware of how it was really affecting us until we disengaged the system. Before using the Ski-Mojo I felt that my technique was correct, however having used the Ski-Mojo and then tested it disengaged you can really feel the difference it is making. You feel unsupported and unable to get your edge in correctly. This often puts you off balance and it really awakens you to the biomechanical support and stability the Ski-Mojo gives you.

All in all I really enjoyed the experience of skiing with the Ski-Mojo and seeing the improvement in our skiing technique was both fun and amazing. I have had lots of fun testing it and would enjoy using it again to see if it could improve those shorter turns in slalom. It gave me more stability in my turns and generally improved my skiing technique.

It is my intention to take a ski season after my A-levels and can see how valuable this piece of kit would be for anyone doing a lot of skiing. My sister is currently on a gap year in Whistler and has commented on the strain that skiing all season has put on her young knees. I believe that this piece of kit would be valuable not only for seasonnaires but also for regular skiers in ensuring the most enjoyable skiing experience and sustain healthy knee joints.
